Wahaha... While i am in a daze waiting for my uni recently, suddenly i was prompted to go and donate blood. It has been 3 years since i last donated. I still remember how enthu i was during my jc days to donate in the blood donation drive. During my 1st 3 months, i was still below 45kg, therefore cannot donate. So i kept eating chicken chop, pork chop for recess, lunch, add fries, wedges, meshed potato. Then when the next donation drive came, i was 45kg, just right, but my mum say just right still cannot donate. i was so so angry that i aim to overshot the basic weight of 45kg. So i continue the intensive Weight Gaining programme. Then the donation drive came for the third time and guess what? i was 50kg! Woahoho! So happy!

Donating blood is an act of great human kindness. I really want to bless people this special gift. Being able , fit and healthy to donate blood is a privilege. Somemore mine is o+ , definitely can help even more people.

So recently i went to outram Health Science Authority to donate blood. And i took a few pictures of the process. I feel that it is not as painful as what the patients are going through, both physically and emotionally.

6. Now You see blood flow thru the tube to the bag. So cool. Next squeeze on the rubber heart to speed up the blood flow.

7. Wait and see the 450ml bag slowing being filled. When the whole process ended, i requested to hold the bag for a while. A bit warm warm one...haha...

8. After that i continue to rest on the chair for 10 mins before i proceed to the cafe to exchange coupon for a cup of hot milo and cake, before i continue my day's activities.

The staffs are all very nice and polite. I want to urge you to think about going to donate your blood for the people in need. Blood is precious and is a special gift. If the body can make new blood to replace, why not donate? I should say the process is very safe and fast. 45 mins.

I would really encourage you to experience this joy of giving.
